Monterey County Artists Open Studio Tour
Art Where It Starts
"Arts Habitat connects and collaborates with artists and arts organizations in Monterey County to foster a dynamic, growing community, while leading the way to a thriving center for the arts at East Garrison.”
The Monterey County Artists Open Studio Tour is an annual, self-guided tour of artist studios and exhibition spaces across the county, during the last weekend in September and the first weekend in October. In 2016, the tour will take place in Peninsula and Coastal locations on September 24 & 25, and in Salinas, Salinas Valley, and North County locations on . Artists may choose to participate on both weekends. Also, there will be two, seven-week exhibitions of artwork by participants. The exhibit for Peninsula and Coastal artists will be at the Pacific Grove Art Center (PGAC) and for Salinas, Salinas Valley, and North County artists at the Hartnell College Gallery. Opening Galas will be held at the PGAC on and at the Hartnell College Gallery on .
No Studio? No Problem! Arts Habitat is making available locations for participants who do not have art studios or who choose not to open theirs to the public. There is still space available at the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside, at several wineries on River Road in Salinas, and in model homes at East Garrison.
